Citroen AirCross Crossover Introduced for Brazil
Citroen's Brazilian subsidiary has released the first official images of the AirCross, a mildly reworked crossover companion to the C3 Picasso.
In a nod to the modern era, the images were announced on Twitter.
Due in the second half of 2010, the AirCross departs visually from the Picasso, with a new grille, new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel-arch extensions, roof rails and rear-mounted spare tire.
The AirCross also has a raised suspension with additional ground clearance and features unique alloy wheels and exterior trim.
The speculation in Brazil is that the AirCross will share Citroen's 1.6-liter, flex-fuel four-cylinder engine and may be offered only in a front-wheel-drive edition.
C3 Picasso rides high

This special, toughened up version of the acclaimed supermini-MPV is equipped with a raised ride height and plastic wheelarch extensions to help tackle the rough stuff.
There’s a new grille and revised bumpers with matt finish scuff plates, while side skirts sit below unique door decals.
Roof rails reach all the way down to the bonnet, and the spare wheel is mounted on the back, in old-school 4x4 style.
It will also run on E85 bioethanol, and is on sale now but sadly only in Brazil!
